Monitor and respond to changes in client satisfaction level and incorporate client satisfaction as a desired outcome of actions throughout CAHFS.
Plan and implement continuous upgrades of test methodologies, equipment, facilities and information technology in order to provide relevant, cost-effective and state-of-the-art services. Incorporate continuous improvement principles and quality systems in all CAHFS operational aspects to meet or exceed the changing needs of CAHFS clients and stakeholders.
Develop, implement, exercise and continuously improve CAHFS emergency and disaster preparedness and response plans for all aspects of CAHFS operations in order to ensure the system wide ability to respond cohesively, rapidly and flexibly while maintaining highest quality laboratory services, efficiency, and employee and client satisfaction and confidence.
Utilize individualized programs (e.g., employee development plan) and system wide needs assessments to continually enhance the skills of CAHFS personnel in order to maintain the highest level of professional competency and employee satisfaction and to ensure system wide capability to meet requirements for new programs and services.
Employee Development:
Identify, develop and implement new programs to meet the changing needs of stakeholders, current and potential clients. Develop strategic partnerships and contracts in order to facilitate new program development and funding.

Actively communicate via multiple venues with CAHFS stakeholders on current and emerging issues and benefits of CAHFS activities in order to increase recognition of CAHFS expertise and resources and improve the likelihood of early detection and rapid response to animal and zoonotic diseases of concern.
